ABOUT ABOUT

Join Westmont in Ashland

“We few, we happy few…” Henry V

Join other alumni and parents with English professor Paul Willis for three days of theatre at its finest, June 28-30, 2018. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival boasts the oldest full-scale Elizabethan stage in the Western Hemisphere. Enjoy a great getaway of wonderful theatre, stimulating lectures and conversation and see three exciting productions:

Henry V, Love’s Labor’s Lost, and Othello

The special Westmont package includes reserved seating and admission to all three plays, discussions with Professor Willis, and two dinners at the hotel catered by Beasy’s on the Creek on Thursday and Friday evenings. Lorinda Dry, assistant director of alumni and parent programs, hosts this event.

Register with us for plays and dinners by April 27 for a discounted price of $380 per person.

Register with us for plays and dinners by May 23 for a regular rate of $400 per person.

Please note that these tickets are non-refundable. We anticipate a wait list and ask that you first try to sell your tickets to those on that list. However, we can’t guarantee that your tickets will be sold.

All guests must arrange for their own lodging and transportation. Special discounted room rates are available for Westmont guests if reserved by May 25 at the Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland Creek for a standard group rate of $199 per room per night. Call 888-488-0358 and use the group name Westmont College Alumni to make your hotel reservation. We encourage participants to stay here since the lectures and dinners will be in this hotel, which is in walking distance of the play venues. The hotel includes a complimentary, expanded hot breakfast and evening snacks, including delicious warm cookies. Those who stayed at this hotel with us last time found the room and evening snacks to be a great spot to informally discuss the plays just seen.
